Business Partner – Intraday Power, Algo, and Physical Gas Trading

As a Business Partner, you will play a critical role in driving execution and ensuring delivery on key objectives within Intraday Power, Physical Gas, and Algorithmic Trading. Working closely with the Trading Director and Leadership Team (LT) in addition to our Business Development team, you will be responsible for ensuring that strategic initiatives are not only well-defined but also effectively implemented and tracked.

This role will work in very close cross-organizational collaboration with the Business Development team coordinating projects, processes and methodology (OKR, …)

Key Responsibilities: Ensuring Execution & Delivery

  • Drive execution of the department’s strategy by translating high-level goals into clear, actionable steps and ensuring follow-through.
  • Maintain OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for the department, making sure they are relevant, measurable, and actively tracked.
  • Facilitate structured decision-making by preparing materials for board meetings, risk committees, and leadership discussions—ensuring key topics are well-documented and decisions lead to concrete actions.
  • Ensure seamless coordination across the trading teams and wider organization, eliminating roadblocks and improving cross-functional execution.
  • Monitor and flag resource bottlenecks across cross-organizational projects, ensuring alignment with commercial leadership’s priorities.
  • Provide high-level support to the Trading Director, ensuring priorities are managed effectively, information is streamlined, and decisions are well-prepared.
  • Anticipate needs and act as a trusted advisor, helping the Trading Director stay ahead of key developments, follow up on outstanding actions, and maintain focus on top priorities.
  • Hold teams accountable for progress by setting clear expectations, implementing follow-ups, and ensuring regular reporting on key results.
