The Role

We’re looking for a candidate with a strong analytical mind who is an independent thinker, capable of tackling complex problems and delivering clear insights and messages. You will be part of the Strategy &Investment team, which is responsible for developing the strategic road map for the company and forming a strong perspective on how energy markets evolve and impact our overall portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive energy market reports and digital dashboards that highlight key market drivers and global developments, including macroeconomic trends.
  • Provide quantitative analysis and market insights to assist senior management in making informed investment and strategic decisions.
  • Conduct portfolio analyses, including assessing portfolio risks and potentially involving financial derivatives such as options.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses on markets, products, and emerging trends to support business needs and strategic initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or another relevant field.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including advanced data-handling and visualization capabilities.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial and economic principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial derivatives, particularly options, and their applications in risk management and portfolio analysis.
     

Desirable Qualifications

  • Ability to seamlessly transition between data-intensive analysis, writing detailed reports, and preparing compelling presentations.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.
