Senior Gas Trader - Singapore

As our new senior gas trader, you will be trading spot (night WD and DA shifts). You have sound knowledge of spot, storage, and curve as these feed into being able to be a mentor to junior traders and assisting the team. And you will be part of the gas and power expansion in APAC.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze gas markets to identify trends and opportunities.
Develop and refine trading strategies to maximize profits.
Execute trades in line with established strategies and risk tolerance.
Monitor and manage risk exposure associated with trading activities.
Ensure compliance with energy market regulations and reporting requirements.
Build and maintain relationships with counterparties and negotiate trading agreements.
Analyze trading performance, P&L, and trading metrics to make informed decisions.
Take a proactive role in the development of the Gas Trading team, especially on APAC expansion.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in European gas trading
Minimum bachelor’s degree in (Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a relevant field).
Preferably experienced with VBA, Phyton, or C#.
Experience in the LNG market, and trading JKM/TFU/Henry Hub preferred, but not required.
Fluent in English (both written and spoken); additional languages advantageous.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, has a strong passion for trading, is approachable, and enjoys working in high performing teams.
